The FollowKnee project, spearheaded by Brest Hospital, was set up to develop a smart communicating knee implant that can provide information on the implant’s mechanical condition and trigger an alert in the event of an infection.
ARCEP, France’s telecommunications regulator, granted Leti, a CEA Tech institute, a license to run a six-month trial at 3.5 GHz to test a 5G network on the MINATEC campus.
Leti, a CEA Tech institute, developed and patented an innovative shield to protect the backsides of secure chips from physical attacks. The system was demonstrated to be effective, paving the way toward its future integration into the most critical types of integrated circuits.
Leti and Liten, both CEA Tech institutes, developed the electronics and algorithms required to measure the internal temperature of a battery cell by estimating electrical impedance. The purpose of the solution is to detect the early signs of thermal runaway in embedded lithium-ion batteries.
